Meditation is a key feature of all the courses run at Annapurna Therapies, where guided meditations and relaxation techniques are an important tool employed at all workshops. 
 
The Wild-at-Heart Creative Expression Workshops use visualisation meditations extensively to access the unconscious mind, thus recreating and interpreting our awareness through our art.

 

 

 

 

Meditation Techniques Workshops

 

Meditation is the ancient pathway to calmness, inner peace, tranquillity and blossoming spirituality.  In addition, meditation has been shown to aid medical conditions such as high blood pressure, asthma, depression and anxiety. 

 

The Annapurna Therapies Meditation Techniques workshop gives an introduction to a range of meditation techniques that will variously include:

      • traditional meditation techniques
      • visualisation enhancement techniques
      • guided meditation taster
      • sound/mantra (including Gong Bath soaking!)
      • aroma meditation taster (includes making your own aroma candle) 
      • mandala meditation (drawing and sand)
      • dancing the chakras

 

              Full day:  10.30am - 4pm  (allow for late running)

Guided Meditation Gong Bath
 
We start with simple breathing exercises, followed by a relaxing and safe guided meditation - usually with a nature theme.
 
We conclude with a good soaking in the beautiful sounds of the Chinese Wind Gong to nail that relaxation!
 
A Gong Bath Meditation is included in both the Meditation Techniques and the Wild-at-Heart Workshops
